Busy Week with a Great Ending
Well, both kiddos are asleep so I figured it would be a great opportunity to drop a line. A friend of mine said that I could have my blog made into a book. That is my wish for this blog. My hope is that one day Tyler and Avery can look back on what was going on during our day-to-day life growing up.
This week we started Tyler in big-boy underwear. Of course we had to have Thomas the Train drawers. I'm amazed at how great he did. I knew he was ready, since we've been working on potty training for a long time. It just seemed like a big commitment to take of the good ol' faithful diaper that doesn't leak. We've only had a few minor accidents, and none while at school. It seems that he just doesn't like to "do the deed" in front of daddy. He was dry all week at school, and no accidents for mommy either!!! Woohoo. I can only imagine the money we are saving not spend 36 cents every 3-4 hours.
Avery had a great week as well. She is really a fantastic baby. Its hard being at work knowing that she isn't drinking much milk, but I feel better knowing that she can eat foods now. Her teacher treated her to shortbread cookies, of course her care-sheet had a big smiley face next to that snack-time. I ordered her a Dallas Cowboys pillowcase dress from Etsy.com. I can't wait to post a picture of her cuteness. The still call Avery "the pretty one" at day-care. With Daddy working such odd and mostly opposite work shifts, I'm lucky that Avery is content and easy going. I am also always amazed at the connection between Avery and Tyler. They really seem to enjoy playing, eating and just being together. The first thing Tyler asks in the morning is "baby??". We are sooo very blessed!! I've been trying to find new words every week...this week he said "MeMe" for his teacher Ms. Remy. He loves his teacher to pieces!
On a down note, I was rear-ended this week on my way into DC. I really felt bad for the couple in the other car. They got a ticket because they were at fault. I know it was just an accident, so I was kinda hoping we wouldn't have to ticket anyone. Now its just finding time to schedule the repairs. This morning I went into work at 6 so I could get the repair estimate completed. It was kind-of nice getting to work early, running and then starting my official day before 730.
Well, I'm going off to finish Avery's Halloween bow. Another great week on the books for us!
