We see the Baltic Sea!

Anchors up, folks!  Our little family took a photo filled cruise from Germany, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, and Russia.  We cruised on the MSC Magnifica - with a room suite that included all food and beverages.  The kids especially enjoyed having a credit card style ID that allowed unlimited kid drinks, popcorn & gelato.

Home Sweet Home - Summer Adventures!

Image
Magnolia Market, Waco, Texas - God Blessed! Oh my, we've been moving our feet!  This summer was filled with lovely adventures across Europe.  Our minds spin to balance normal life activities (i.e. soccer, guitar, scouts...) with exploring this wonderful world.  I do believe pictures capture the moment - so let's start our Summer in review. Home sweet home! Tyler is still really into NASA and everything space.  Opportunity knocked to visit NASA in Houston - so we went with smiles!  I believe in these little ones - even if it means sending future care packages to outer space.  We all loved our time in Houston - we have no problem. Mormor treated us to a fun trip to NASA!  Beauty in every right! Home....just beautiful home! Our time on the ranch provided our hearts time to just find peace.   Lucky enough to visit Tante Laura! Lucky enough to fish with Uncle Greg!

It's a Wonderful World

This month of April really kicked off with many trips.  Bob traveled TDY to Greece for a few weeks. Our family really missed having the extra TLC in our home.  Although everything get's accomplished (school & after school adventures), I personally feel like a car chugging on 3 wheels.  It makes it down the road - but we sure miss that 4th wheel. This picture was added to the AFNorth "Month of a Military kid" wall.  I simply love that Cammie wanted to be in the photo too :D  Avery was wearing her pjs - that's just life.  Dad was heading out the door. The kids started swim lessons at the JFC-Brunssum, Netherlands pool.  I'm told the Dutch take kids swim lessons very seriously and even follow a certification program due to all the canals in Holland.  After being on the wait-list for 6 months, I was excited for Tyler and Avery to learn proper strokes.  Tyler already had swim lessons in school but this class actually seems to encourage swimming efficiently.

Ciao Bella!

This European adventure just continues to get better as each day passes.  I'm in awe of the stories we capture and carry from each country.  Our most recent vacation was to Italy.  The adventure took us from Rome to Sorrento & Positano. We flew out of Naples after eating our share of pizza, desserts, and delicious wine.  My favourite story included the ones from our Rome-to-Sorrento driver.  It was 2 hours, time well spent, in the car listening to a local chat about his love for the Italian countryside and the new modern Pope. Pictures tell the story better than words - so I'll stop with my chatter. This is Us - Vatican City - the smallest country in the world. We didn't spar -- but it sure was fun to learn about those who did. The Isle of Capri -- stunning blue waters, cliffs, and a joyful boat ride. We chose to have a tour guide to keep our kids interest and ensure our vacation was a learning experience.  I have to say - that was a great decisi

The time to Give

Image
That's right - my title has a capital "G" in the word give. I'm inspired every day at my children's giving heart and thoughts of limitless possibilities. This year, Christmas season will bring the usual Europe Christmas markets, colder weather, and a giving heart. More news to follow - but our family will pull together to Give more this year. God has blessed us in so many ways - it's time we do more. Family Update: This year has been busy with travel for our little family. Tyler is loving the school choir, Awanas, Boy Scouts, reading, and soccer. Avery thoroughly enjoys Girl Scouts, soccer, Awanas, and reading in bed with mom :). Avery recently completed a cheer leading day camp, and loved that too!  Both kids are happy and healthy. We just wrapped up Parent / Teacher conferences. Avery was taughted as smart, strong, organized, kind to others, and helpful. Tyler was lauded for excelling at all subjects, making friends easily, and helping his classmates sta

It's been a long time...

Wow!  It's been a long time since my last post. I feel as though our entire world has changed...mostly because we moved across the big pond. This time last year, we were living comfortably on Andrews AFB. Bob worked on base and I worked in DC. We frequented local museums, street fairs, DC races (even completing marathons with friends) and truely enjoyed our extended families within the NCR and Southern MD. We had no idea the Air Force was about to throw a curve ball and send us to Germany. The old saying "life is an adventure" sure showed its colors. I'll try to post more frequently - and capture the many trips we've already taken across Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and France. For now, this quick recap will have to do. It's been a "wow" kind of year.

Our Little Pack

This snowy weather had our family craving a quick vacation. To quench our vacation-thirst, we took a weekend get-away to Williamaburg, VA.  To make it educational, we started our journey with a trip to George Washingtons Birthhouse. The true house burnt down in the many years after Washington moved to Mt Vernon, but the farm still has several colonial revival style buildings and farm animals to visit. Our trip continued to Great Wolf Lodge where Avery loved the water and characters. Tyler loved the magical quest.  We joined our long time friends, the Buckey family. The trip was well worth the time spent.
