Valentine's Day Love

This morning started off with me wondering why my alarm went off at 430...then I remembered, just because yesterday was a snow day does not mean today is a snow day.  It's a good thing my alarm had more sense than me.  It was only a 2hr late arrival.  I quickly hopped up and scarfed down breakfast/coffee and started to shovel.  We seriously had at least 14 inches on my car alone.  Thank goodness I shoveled the driveway yesterday, it was only a few new inches on the driveway.  Before heading out to work, I made the kids & hubby breakfast...heart shaped beignets and biscuits with jelly heart filling.

The kids had a fun playdate with friends while I was at work for a few hours.  After work, it was a quick 30-minute kettleball workout and since I had dinner in the crockpot....it was all too easy!  I really should make crockpot meals more often.  There is truly something to be said about coming home to a house that smells of yummy dinner.  I've been trying really hard to cook more often.  Between work, school, gym,  & the kids afterschool activities, I was really slacking in January.  This month, I'm focusing on our household diet.  Exception:  the 4 chocolate covered strawberries my hubby forced me to eat :D

All in all, today was the perfect Valentine's day.  I tucked Tyler in and asked his "high."  His answer, "eating our special heart shaped breakfast."  #mommysuccess  #lovingthelittleones

As for my valentine, he's snoozing on the chaise lounge chair.  I couldn't be happier to have such a sweet man to spend everyday for the rest of my life with!  Even if he's snoozing while I'm doing homework.
