Thankful for...November
Here's the game..every day in November list something you are thankful for. The concept is big on Facebook. I'm transferring my daily list to this blog purely to protect my friends & family news feed from having to read something really intended for my reference/reminder. I hope that placing this list on my blog will give me a lasting memory of 2013.
1Nov: I'm thankful for each day I see the sunshine. Today was 71degrees outside when the kids and I went to the park after work/school. How amazing does the warm sunshine feel on your skin? For me, good enough to act calm as a cucumber while Avery was being a grumpy-bumpkin immediately after this picture.
2Nov: I'm thankful for organized sports. Watching these kids smile with positive reinforcement and get encouraged for hard work is awesome.
3Nov: I'm thankful for Gods beautiful creations. The little things like songs that inspire, random strangers that spread a smile, and mother nature. Check out these colorful fall leaves…thankful!
4Nov: I'm thankful for my little family…I'm blessed beyond my wildest dreams to have these 3 in my world. God really did me a favor taking me down a long, windy, and extremely bumpy road to this gorgeous reward. Our life is chaotic at times with an on-the-go schedule…but I wouldn't change a thing!
6Nov: I'm thankful for my friends. Where would I be without their sanity checks, laughter, and inspiration to be a better person. Some friendships have grown over the years and some have faded. Either way, I've taken a little piece to remember forever. Blessed and thankful for crossing paths with amazing friends. My friends recently showe their support at the Marine Corp Marathon. I literally cried for 2 miles knowing they were by my side cheering. I couldn't ask for better friends (I consider them my sisters from God).
7Nov: I'm thankful for the seasons of life. I've learned so much at each step. Right now, I'm working on improving on just being happy with my achievements.

5Nov: I'm thankful for the honor I was granted to serve in the USAF and now DOD. Supporting our country is truly an honor…even if I only make a small contribution. I'll always hold onto the core values taught in basic training; service before self, excellence in all we do, and integrity. God bless the USA…land of the free.

Seasons of life teach us sooo much. Thankful!
8Nov: Thankful for strangers with kind words and people who believe in me. I was officially promoted to Team Lead today and a stranger gave me an amazing compliment that made me smile for hours. Thankful for new opportunities and people who recognize things.
9Nov: Thankful for traditions like Veteran Day poppy sales, thanksgiving meals, and of course Santa. In all honesty, I love the though of traditions and the bonds they create. I hope my kiddos grow to appreciate all the fun American traditions we share.
10Nov: Weekends...I'm entirely thankful for the time granted to us during weekends. I wish everyday was one that I could drink coffee while sitting and not driving and spend morning hours playing uno with the kids...but, reality bites sometimes. In the meantime...I will continue to be utterly thankful for weekends!
11Nov: Thankful for agencies supporting the military. Our family is separated by thousands of miles...grandparents, uncles, aunts are all far away. The opportunity for my kids to see a spectacular show or get a free book from the USO all add up to the little things that make out lives better. This weekend we had the opportunity to see Cavalia Odysee with Aunt Nonie. I feel extremely blessed to be USO-gifted the show tickets and God-gifted the company, Aunt Nonie. The show was a horse ballet/acrobat experience that I hope to never forget. Thankful!
12Nov: I'm thankful for all the teachers making a difference in little peoples lives. As a child of a teacher, I witnessed the sacrifices made everyday to teach. Time, money, and patience are all premium for teachers. Thankful for out teachers who make a difference in our future!

13Nov: I'm thankful for the joy of reading. With my work and school schedule, I don't get much time to read....but even for educational purposes, I'm thankful. Every blue moon I get a chance to read an awesome blog from another person sharing. Today, I took 2 minutes and read this blog post....and loved it!
14Nov: Running…I'm thankful for the ability to run with 2 legs, even though I've seen people run faster without. I'm thankful for the lessons running has taught me. (1) take time for physical fitness and mental fitness will also benefit; (2) running is a never ending game…you can always push yourself harder, faster, or longer; (3) the people you meet while running are AMAZING on many levels; (4) like is like running…it's simple...one foot in front of the other. Look backwards and you'll fall. Reach too far forward and you'll fall. Just keep your chin up and enjoy the people around you.

15Nov: The sound of giggles. I consider myself blessed to hear the sound of giggles resonate thru our house. Life is hectic at times but it simply stands fast when we are laughing out loud together. May everyone appreciate what laughter does to the soul! I know I'm very thankful!
16Nov: The grand USA. I'm thankful to live in a country with civil liberties, a transparent government, and rights beyond measure.
17Nov: I'm thankful for my mom. She raised 3 kids on her own teacher salary. Sometimes, our lights were turned off and we struggled to put food on the table. She taught us the power of prayer and fellowship. I always knew that my mom had a soul of gold. Everyone tried to help our little family stay strong…and my mom and I did just that. She's one strong lady and I pray everyday that she is blessed with peace in knowing how amazing & beautiful she is!
27Nov: I'm thankful for technology. As much as I miss the "old school" way of doing business, when laughter was found in face-to-face company with a good friend, technology is good. It's enabled me to finish a good 30% of my masters while at home with sleeping kiddos. It's enabled my distant family an opportunity to see my kiddos grow. I'll still be "old school" and prefer a phone call over a text, email, or message….but I'm thankful for technology expanding the horizons.
28Nov: I'm thankful for our crazy little puppy….Cammie! She's really a great dog for being so young. Watching the kiddos snuggle, giggle, and enjoy her company makes every bit of purchasing a puppy worth while. We chose a cavapoo to ensure Tylers allergies weren't aggravated (besides their cuteness). I really wanted a goldendoodle and Bob wanted a smaller dog….ala cavadoodle aka cavapoo Cammie entered our family.
