It may seem to be a simple goal, but it's a priority important goal of mine. I will raise children who are respectful and accountable for their actions. Tyler is only 4 (almost 5...sniff) and already he will say things like "you made me do xxx." I'm always quick on the draw to say, "no Tyler, you chose to do xxx." We recently purchased a kids responsibility system. My kids might only be 3 & 4 yrs old, but they have chores. They are expected to help around the house with manageable tasks for their age, such as wiping off the table and putting away their clothes. Avery is all girly and loves to help with household tasks. I expect that will change quickly around her 11th birthday, or so. Tyler enjoys being rewarded after he helps. Just this morning I gave the dog water in her bowl. He was sooo upset that he lost the opportunity to earn a star. Again, another lesson learned....the early bird gets the worm. I rea...
Funny Things the Kids Say....Not to be Forgotten

These two hams are my pride and joy. I spend my days at work only to have my sunshine arrive the moment I pick them up. Bob and I seem to work opposite shifts more than we both work day shifts, so usually its just the kids and I on the weekdays. I caught up with a former colleague this afternoon, and she was grumbling over being a "single-mom" a couple days a week. I have to admit, it doesn't bother me at all. Not that I'm superwoman, I just enjoy having the one-on-one time with Tyler and Avery Paige. I really should be catching up on homework, so I'll make this short and sweet.... funnies: Me: Tyler, what does your new teacher look like? Tyler: Well, Ms. Montero has busted teeth like me.
