We had a female U.S. Navy doctor this time, RDML Larson. She was extremely pleasant and commented on how well Tyler was socializing. He pretty much babbled the entire visit and smiled at her every time she looked his direction. She gave us tips on getting Tyler to sleep through the night and suggested to start him on eating lunch. As a mother who nursed two young boys, she understood my plight and seemed very empathetic to my needs for sleep. Our issue is a minor but complex problem, Tyler prefers nursing over the bottle. Where has the time gone? Tyler can now sit up unassisted (although he still topples over sometimes). He shakes his head "no", holds his hands out to be picked up and fusses when you take away his toy. The doctor said he is doing fantastic and reaching all of his milestones. His 6 month check-up is on the 27th, so we are curious to see his growth chart. At his last doctors appointment at 5 1/2 months, he weighed 20 lbs and 8 ounces. This past Columbus Day weekend we went pumpkin picking, visited a few goats and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks... Our bundle of joy really makes everyday an excited day!
